privacy
the short version: we built spygloss so it barely needs to know you exist.
the app
the story ships inside the app. there are no accounts, no sign-ups and no profiles. the app never asks for your contacts, photos, location, microphone, clipboard or notifications, because it doesn't need them. everything you save, note or theorise stays on your phone.
we collect a small set of anonymous usage events (things like "a case was started" or "a theory was submitted") through telemetrydeck, a privacy-first analytics service that never sees your identity or a device id. crash reports are scrubbed of anything personal before they reach us. there is no advertising identifier, no fingerprinting and no data brokering — not reworded, just none.
if you type a theory in your own words, that text is evaluated once to shape your ending and is not used to train anything or build a profile of you.
this site
spygloss.com sets no cookies and runs no trackers. if you join the pilot, we store the email you give us with our email provider (kit) and use it for exactly one thing: telling you about spygloss. unsubscribe any time, one tap.
the fictional part
every phone, person, message and receipt inside spygloss is fictional. the app has no capability to look at anyone's real phone — including yours.
